The thing about the term abundance is that it can be counterintuitive when we set out in search for interior inspirations for our homes. Every design find is a possible, new reason to bring it home. To embellish spaces where we convene and carouse and for rooms where we retreat in solitude. After all, our homes are meant to be a montage of things that add to its visual allure. With an all-new home experience centre, Essentia Environments captures this very essence.
Sprawling two floors and a grand 25,000 sq ft in Gurugram, this immersive centre is emblematic of their new brand Essentia Home. A trove of all things tangible and intangible, style-forward furniture, furnishings and curated fragrances, majorly made in India, assume focus. The space emerges as a result of Hardesh, Monica and Hridik Chawla’s quest for pieces that are synonymous to a holistic living experience.

“We strive to maximise the use of generated waste by repurposing it into practical, everyday products. For instance, stone waste from coffee tables and other items is creatively transformed into tissue boxes, trays and coasters.
We are committed to using materials of Indian origin, with a particular emphasis on Indian stone,” explains Hardesh, Director and Monica, Creative Head of Essentia Environments on the process of curating a thoughtful assembly of design elements for homes.

An eclectic universe, the ground floor lays out an array of materials like soft marble and rugged wood to contrast glass and veneer. While natural light bounces off the bar counter in the day, Italian lights from Melogranoblu glow over the dining and fireplace setups by night.
On the first floor, dining areas, bedrooms and living areas engulf bespoke furniture and soft accents like artworks and rugs alongside imposing 12 ft high doors that convey a sense of grandeur. Beyond the surface beauty of visuals, the local roots of craftsmanship here are tightly knit in as well. And it’s probably this interplay of the indigenous and modern that makes the space so encompassing, inspiring at once a feeling of being at home and ahead of global trends.
