The Inspiration

Gone are the wintery days when the planet seemed to be at a standstill. Birds are on their way out of deep slumber and the Earth has come up with summer-y colours. Enter Sulphur Yellow—with a pop of brightness and a dollop of neon. The yellowest of all yellows shows up in the skies, farms, temperatures and minds!

The Accents

Straight from the Earth’s crust comes warmth and positivity in the form of sulphur yellow and graces human life. From being a colour so tumultuous to being a colour so happy, the vivifying shade brings the essence of nature’s being to your home.

The Features

Amidst all that is being rebuilt post-pandemic, sulphur yellow comes in as an overjoyed child! This time proving itself in the urbanscape of Harbour City is Archisculptures in a fantasy playground created by Jaime Hayon. The yellow animal in his retro-like patterns stands in the centre of the installation and attention, exciting the viewer just enough to take notice of it—encouraging conversations and associations.

Love in a lost land—A cheer of splashed sulphur yellow finds itself in its homeland, the mountains, catching your eye and emotions from the get-go! Portraying strength, contrast, and a ray of sunshine (literally) is sulphur yellow in the Raem House, designed by Mauricio Pezo and Sofia von Ellrichshausen in Curacavi, Chile. It starkly reinvents modern industrial aesthetics and awaken feelings of surprise, warmth and hope while at it.
