Still life revisits the canvas of space. We scout for resonant stories in the objects of today, tracing the footsteps of the masters. Cézanne’s compositions, Caravaggio’s theatrics, Van Gogh’s colours, Matisse’s brushstrokes. But summer is an elusive subject, rarely still and bursting with life. In exuberant impasto, these studies chase light against time, leaning into the season’s mercurial nature.
