Stop by to feast on the details and design while you dine at CAMO. Embodying a deeply-rooted rustic aesthetic, reflective of the warmth of its elevated Indian cuisine, the restaurant is an answer to Delhi NCR’s burgeoning culinary evolution. Wrapped in a progressive design language, the interiors of this sprawling 8,000 sq ft restaurant are weaved by Studio Dashline. Radiating a comforting sophistication, the spaces, turns and its many details are designed such that it elevates the guests’ experience.

Between two forms

Built around the angular lines of an existing structure, the layout establishes a dialogue between a mirrored addition and the original structure. The courtyard, with its angular wrapped staircase, sets the stage for what lies ahead — inviting diners upward to the rooftop terrace while leading them inward through a central pathway.

The entrance, framed by glimpses of outdoor seating enhances the courtyard’s architectural grace, while a linear fountain traces the edge of the compound. Drawing inspiration from the allure of Turkish bazaars, CAMO’s spatial design envelopes courtyards, water elements, and outdoor seating ornamented in an earthy palette of muddy Mediterranean lime-clay plaster.

The bar is high

Designed for patrons who’d come for the food and views, but stay for the drinks and vibe, the bar area emerges as a pivotal centrepiece in the layout. Embodying a textural richness through the generous use of black cobble tiles, sleek grooved black granite and marble, this is a corner that pays homage to Persian motifs — a strategic design move, duly witnessed in the restaurant’s long, linear wall debossed with abstract shapes.

Dine under the stars at the rooftop area, or reserve an intimate nook within the expansive interiors. The private lounging spot against the backdrop of the city’s skyline is ideal for occasions that call for making memories without trying too hard.

Flanked by fountains, greenery, live kitchens, and community tables, CAMO is a space that takes diners through a sensorial journey, where you don’t necessarily need to wait for your food to arrive to sensorially immerse yourself into a feast.
