As mercury soars in Milan, we know it is time. Time to immerse into art, designs, ideas, innovation and endless fanfare. From 17th to 23rd April, the city with its rich heritage transforms to a melting pot of international cultural exchanges. Vikram Goyal at Nilufar Depot
Select pieces from Vikram Goyal’s works will be unveiled at Nilufar Depot at ‘The Bright Side of Design’ by the design icon and founder of Milan based Nilufar Gallery Via della Spiga, Nina Yashar. With an aim to spread awareness about the homegrown art to the world, the studio will house some limited edition pieces that will mirror art and heritage of India.
“I want to be more invested with research and, my aim, also for the project we are developing with the Open Editions is to expand our borders and research even more to scout new talents all around the globe. I do think that there’s so much energy and talent in India and I can’t wait to discover more”, says Nina Yashar.

Light on Light by Nexion
Nexion is here with “Light on Light”, a theme to entrance you through the wonders of light. With its sintered stone slabs, Nexion’s exhibit will take you on an immersive journey of light. Set amidst the grandeurs of Galleria Manzoni, Nexion will make you experience the world of design- the Italian way. Not just this, Nexion will also launch its Marble Gallery Collection at Manzoni 42 space in the evening.

Shaped by Air: Suchi Reddy for Lexus
Lexus will showcase an installation called “Shaped by Air” by artist and architect Suchi Reddy. Inspired by the Lexus Electrified Sport the immersive installation will feature a to-scale interpretation of the vehicle surrounded by a forest of composite shapes, evoking the organic and leaf-like shapes of Henri Matisse. Staged from April 17 till April 23, the installation will also include presentations of prototypes from the winners of the 2023 Lexus Design Award. The “forest” of composite shapes is activated by movement, sound, and light, inviting visitors to explore the vehicle’s design.
Kohler
This year at Milan Design Week, Kohler will be celebrating its 150th anniversary by installing a larger than life sculpture of Janet Echelman. With their limited edition collection, Artists Edition, at Palazzo del Senato one will get to look over all these years of art, colour and innovation. This time, the exclusive collection will act as a canvas for artworks by four pioneering female artists from around the globe.

The Euroluce 2023 Exhibitions: Constellations curated by Beppe Finessi
The International Lighting Exhibition, Euroluce, explores the intersection between technology, architecture, design, art and poetry. The contemporary art exhibition will include works by various masters including Aldo Mondino, François Morellet and Keith Sonnier amongst others.

Herman Miller
At Fuorisalone this year, Herman Miller will mark its 100th anniversary by showcasing a specially curated exhibit and a limited-edition poster reprint that highlights the rich history of graphic design. Over the years, Herman Miller has collaborated with several graphic designers and artists who brought with them the essence of their respective era’s. This visual journey, starting in Milan, will later traverse to Chicago for Miller Knoll Design Days in June.

The Cassina Perspective 2023
This year at Fuorisalone, the Italian design brand Cassina will display its latest collection of furniture. Being introduced alongside the installation by Patricia Urquiola, a Spanish architect, the collection will exhibit pieces from renowned as well as budding designers.

The New Objets Nomade by Louis Vuitton
This Furisalone, Louis Vuitton will come with its 10 new audacious objet nomads, a collection of experimental yet functional furniture inspired by travel. This will be in addition to the 60 pieces created by a group of internationally celebrated designers.
