    A farmhouse in Chhattisgarh by Azure Interiors strikes the perfect chord with its earthy tones

    The pure serenity of the Mayfair Farmhouse designed by Azure Interiors will whisk you to a world of complete relaxation. This 7,500 sq ft oasis, away from all the din of the city life in Raipur, Chhattisgarh nudges you to welcome peace and seclusion with open arms, as you venture into the soothing abyss of Mother Nature’s embrace. 

    “The homeowners wanted to treat this as a recreational space. It’s their outhouse where they want to entertain their guests, relax and take a break from the usual routine. The earthy farmhouse stands as a picturesque retreat from the bustling world,” shares Rashi Bothra and Ruchi Gehani, Founders and Interior Designers of Azure Interiors.

    Sowing the seeds of sustainability 

    While the demeanour of the farmhouse is minimalist, it encapsulates all mod cons and encourages sustainability. The high ceilings, big windows, woodwork and tiles beautifully complement the surrounding natural habitat, with a view as the sun shines bright overhead the open courtyard transforming into the perfect spot for stargazing at night.

    An earth-loving expedition 

    Feel the breeze in the epitome of silence as the world of nature engulfs you while you walk up to the front door. Upon entering, the open seating area is a cornucopia of earthly delights, as if the forest itself has opened its arms to welcome you home. 

    The wooden furniture, crafted with love and imagination, boasts quirky shapes and curious carvings that invite you to take a seat and lose yourself in the moment. Warm mauve hues playfully dance on the walls in the powder bathroom, while the floor, dressed in black-grained marble, adds a touch of elegance.

    As you wander through the two-story dwelling, sunlight dances playfully through every window, chasing away shadows and illuminating even the cosiest nooks. As you glide through, a passage leads you to the informal living area where a swing beckons you to unwind by the window. Adjacent to the living area, a harmonious fusion of dining space and an open kitchen awaits, embodying the essence of rustic charms and the joy of communal dining and culinary delights. The kitchen, featuring a terrazzo surface, echoes the resilience of natural stone, while pastel mint green infuses a breath of fresh air, breaking the monotony of neutrals. 

    Moving into the bedrooms, the wooden bed frames, crafted with cane accents, provide a sturdy yet gentle embrace where sounds of nature lulls you into a peaceful slumber. While in the kid’s bedroom, soft pastel colours reminiscent of blooming flowers and gentle skies create a soothing and nurturing environment. In these bedrooms, time slows down, and the outside world seems to fade away. It’s a place where you can truly retreat and rejuvenate.

    In leafy whispers

    The inner courtyard is adorned with patterned flooring and organic wall art. A set of outdoor furniture calls you to bask in the warmth of the sun and gaze at the enchanting sky above.

    As you ascend the Italian staircase, unconventional curves and seamless glass rails draw inspiration from the contours of nature, allowing you to feel as though you’re climbing a lush, winding path up a hillside. When you reach the first floor, an entertainment den with a pool card table and a rustic bar counter encourages quality time with loved ones. The attached theatre has a foldable, sliding glass partition, creating a cocoon of privacy.

    Focusing on sustainability and environmental consciousness, the terrace features heat-absorbing tiles on the floor that not only add beauty to the space but also help to reduce the reliance on air conditioners, promoting energy efficiency and fostering a greener, more eco-friendly living environment.
