Talk of the table by A Square Designs
Here’s where every gathering is a celebration and every meal a memorable moment. Designed by Ajay Arya, founder and interior designer of A Square Designs, this dining space is open, airy and bathed in daylight. The breathability is uncluttered and as Ajay expresses, “Eye-catching lighting installations can become the focal point of the room. Clever storage solutions and thoughtfully designed layouts ensure that the space is both organised and accessible, accommodating everything from intimate dinners to grand celebrations.”
Teal Appeal by Aantrik Interiors and Architecture
One of the contenders of astutely minimal dining room ideas and designed by Vedika Modi and Aman Thakur of Aantrik Interiors and Architecture is all about striking a balance between cosy and contemporary, modern yet organic. Alongside a wooden brown-toned table, sculpturally framed dining chairs and an overall subdued ambience, appears a bright teal cabinet! “It adds such a fun, lively pop of colour. The sleek dining set keeps things feeling modern and minimalist,” state the principal architect duo.
Curves galore by Atelier X Architects
We all may have our fair share of quibbles about geometry in school. But Saumil Nagar, Principal Architect at Atelier X Architects proves that geometry can be fun with this dining room idea. The interesting integration of lines and shapes throughout this dining room ensures patterns rhythmically ebb and flow. An oceanic colour palette of blues and greys initiates a sense of calm interspersing with a play of rich wood, sleek metal, natural stones and locally sourced fabrics.
Minimal statements by DNP Design Studio
Lines of minimalistic Japanese aesthetics blend with Scandinavian design in this dining room crafted by Dhara Naik Pandya of DNP Design Studio. “The striking feature of this dining space is its hanging lights, which act as an ornamentation but at the same time also add to the functionality of the space. The white countertop with ivory customised dado tile complements the flute pattern glass used for the storage unit,” says Dhara.
Regal classics by Fab Studio
Old is gold. Literally, in this case. Designed by principal architect Jaskaran Singh of Fab Studio, this space may be one of the most ostentatious dining room ideas. It is an ode to the concept of classical interiors but with an opulent touch. The space is a departure from trendy elements and is a celebration of the classic styles. “All elements lend themselves to each other to create a stunning atmosphere, adding to the spatial scale,” he mentions.
Colourful accents by Form Space N Design Studio
This dining room designed by Sohil Valia and Rajesh Kathe of Form Space N Design Architects is a testament to the role of accessorising and ornamenting the spaces we spend a lot of our time at. Bedecked and creative. Focal pieces like the string lights, textured accent walls and fragmented mirrors breathe new life into this space. The design team also includes Divya Rupreja and Rohit Birajdar. Amidst the hues of grey and blue, “The table is crafted from terrazzo, intricately carved with elegant marble chips from Rawsteen. Soft, ambient lighting creates an inviting atmosphere, with a dramatic yet delicate suspended fixture from Luceplan highlighting the space,” express Sohil and Rajesh.
A white paradise by The Design Cube
Designed by Simran Bhargave of The Design Cube, this dining room feels like a love letter to the austerity of colour white. A symphony of creams and pearls, eggshells and eggwhites. This intricate design proves that monochrome and bold are not mutually exclusive. “A meticulously crafted sandstone jaali stands as a delicate divider between the main entrance from the dining room with artistic finesse,” states Simran.
An enchanted tablescape by Ikigai Studio
Titled appropriately by principal architect Anuja Marudgan of Ikigai Studio, the dining room (the enchanted forest) resembles the tropics in a defined modern way. Without being loud and over the top, the space reminds you of all things fresh and of course, enchanted. “Beautiful arches frame each opening in this abode. A space once cloaked in darkness is now illuminated with crockery and a collection of 200 treasured books, while cement plaster-finished lights hang beautifully above,” says Anuja.
Gold and white accents by Nivasa
This magnificent Penguin Dining Table designed by Saba Kapoor is a part of Nivasa’s Burnish collection. With its exceptional craftsmanship of inlay work, the table sets a new standard for opulence and sophistication in the realm of fine dining. “To complete the dining experience, Nivasa also introduced the elegant Penguin Dining Chair. With its sleek stainless-steel frame featuring a light gold metallic ombre finish, and luxurious suede leather upholstery,” mentions Saba.
Swathes of pearls and texture by Studio Design Inc
Consider this our official petition to bring back the accent walls and even better statement light fixtures that drop delicately above the dining table. This stunning wall transports one to a fantasy forest, with its warm neutrals and gorgeous pearl drapings. Designed by Khushboo Khandelwal of Studio Design Inc (helmed along with Kunal Khandelwal), this may be one of the most sculptural dining room ideas, which reminds us of a fantasy land fit for the sophisticated diners. “In the dining area, the jack arch frames a wallpaper with a tropical biophilic design. This is also reflected from the opposite arched mirror wall, continuing the visual design language of movement,” reveals Khushboo.
