Casually Speaking: An informal meeting space for greater interaction
OCT 9, 2015 | By Tasneem Merchant
A meeting room should encourage healthy discussions, co-building ideas and better camaraderie with people. Why not build a similar inspiring environment at your home office?
Pick and choose ideas from entrepreneur Sunita Namjoshi’s study designed by Rubel Dhuna. Do away with plastic and metal chairs and invoke warmth with wooden or cane seaters and cushy long sofas.
A small medium sized centre table – big enough for eight people to surround it – to support mugs, stationery, laptops and other miscellaneous items to power brainstorming sessions should suffice.
Keep the space clutter free by housing a shelf, floor to ceiling (a raised or heighted ceiling will help here) for books on the wall. Tall floor lights and potted plants will keep the area fresh and airy.
