BARO just turned their store into the childhood playhouse of your dreams
OCT 4, 2017 | By Reecha Kulkarni
Manoeuvre through the transformed BARO store, where you’ll spot chairs hanging in mid-air and jewellery served on fine china plates. Wolf Jaipur displays their quirks in the form of psychedelic dollhouses, old school games and puntastic installations at the Lower Parel store for the initiative, “Every Day, Play A Little”.
Featuring tops from Priyanka Shah, classic tea parties from Brigitte Singh and series of old photographs from Wolf; this set-up takes us back to the 1960s. You’ll also find antique rugs from Tipu Sultan’s time, fine jewellery from Umrao Jewels and adorable stuffed animals from Help-In-Suffering, a welfare organization for animals in Jaipur.
Srila Chatterjee from BARO keeps the doors wide open for people to wander about the wondrous setup, made from scraps and cloth. “Sit around and play. This initiative takes you back to a time of imagination and whimsy, and we couldn’t be happier to have Wolf Jaipur display it here,” she says, while Ritu Singh from Wolf Jaipur examines a display. “We’re passionate about the experiences that people take away with them, not the money, and that was important to us, as well as Srila. This made BARO perfect for our whimsical display,” says Ritu.
