Alt Pizza

Envisioned by The Local Studio, is a vibrant and lively pizzeria in Koramangala, Bengaluru brings the spirit of Singaporean QSR to casual dining. With a nod to the trendy culture of Los Angeles, Alt Pizza embraces an industrial vibe and pop culture references. The space features a white colour palette with pops of bold hues and geometric patterns. Booth seating with red epoxy grout, birch plywood tabletops, and mint green terrazzo benches add visual interest. The bar stands out with a bright red corrugated sheet and a white terrazzo countertop. The triangular site’s existing columns are utilised creatively, offering visibility and character both inside and out.

Muro

Muro, a social club in Bengaluru, is inspired by Carlo Scarpa and designed by Samir Raut, principal architect of Atelier Nowhere. The vision was to create something sophisticated, and prove how a clean design, great lighting and custom furniture can provide a special space for both diners and the team behind Muro. With multiple layers transitioning from cafe to bar, to a private lounge to a natural outdoor space created to enhance the greenery of the city, every element is thoughtfully designed to provide a hospitable customer experience. The warmth of the wooden panels allows for free-flowing conversations and promotes socialising, whereas the specially designed furniture allows tables to have a sense of intimacy. The space reflects the cosiness of a home along with the service of a high-end restaurant.

Monkey Bar

Reimagined by Sabina Singh, Director of the Olive Group of Restaurants and Raseel Gujral Ansal, the celebrated interior designer and architect behind Casa Pop, Monkey Bar is an all-day destination offering a warm and inviting ambience to its guests. Upon entry, the patrons are greeted with query neon phrases and captivating tropical-themed wall paintings with hand-painted Monkey motifs. Mixed with various prints, textures and a bright and sunny colour palette, the space is thoughtfully designed with a coffee station at the entrance, alluring outdoor and indoor areas, and a prominently placed bar. QR codes are integrated into the space, which share the glimpses of the design journey between these distinguished brands. Greeted by hues of oranges, yellows, sage greens, pigeon blue, and plenty of white, the new and reimagined Monkey Bar embarks on a sensory adventure where design, ambience, and culinary brilliance merge to create lasting and cherished moments.

Kana

Situated in the bustling city of Bengaluru, lies a sophisticated cafe filled with nature to portray the relationship between urban design and nature elements. Kana, designed by Studio Skapa Architects, is inspired by the breezy and nature integrated Cafe’s of Bali, and the overall colour palette used is majorly white with accents of nature. Upon entering the cafe’s property, one comes across a minimal branding wall. Covered by a glass canopy, is the minimal seating using olive green metal and grey rope backrest with white fabric cushion. The lime plastered white walls and the concrete flooring, enhances the colour of nature in the space. The coffee bar, sat in the heart of the cafe, is clad with white herringbone patterned tiles, with pastel green grouting acts a visual backdrop. The upper level of the cafe follows a similar colour palette, with peach toned accents in the furniture introduced by the architect. Following sustainability and its commitment to create a unique environment, this cafe stands as an example for how urban spaces can celebrate the world of nature.

Lupa

Manu Chandra’s Bengaluru restaurant Lupa, is spread across 11,000 sq ft space. Lupa offers multiple unique touch points for diners, from warm outdoors where one can enjoy the sound of the water fountain, an indoor dining area with high ceilings with hints of Art Deco, to a small snack bar where guests can munch on some cured meats and even gelato. Inspired by the inherent charm of Italy, find yourself seated amongst the courtyard, showcasing the warmth of terracotta and the coolness of the marble. With a private staircase leading up to a private dining area, this restaurant is a must visit for all foodies out there.

The presence of mirrors on the walls give it an illusion of being spacious and undefining. Pink Verranda

Pink Verranda in Belgaum, is just what its name suggests! Designed by Tesor Designs, the restaurant is located in a 200 year old building, integrated with Art Deco elements on walls adding a touch of timeless elegance to the space. With abundance of natural light and greenery, the open dining is transformed into a vibrant and inviting atmosphere with various seating options. The fine dining area featured a simple white and black flooring. The vibrant fabric choices stand in perfect contrast to the white walls behind, both complementing the wood-toned furniture. Offering a tranquil vibe with sloped roofs and thoughtful decor, the restaurant is the epitome of relaxation with a touch of elegance and drama.

Swwing

A fine dine restaurant specialising in coastal cuisine has just opened in Indiranagar. Swwing, designed by Studio Bidaara, helmed by Akshay Luthria and Chef Tarun Sibal, is an amalgamation of flavours, sights and textures. Bathed in beachy blues and whites in the form of patterned tiles and fabric of the chairs, falling in sync with the thorough use of rattan and cane, the design sets the perfect coastal vibe. The ceiling panels and playful hanging lights, complemented by the brass elements that depict vintage Art Deco style, add a sense of sophistication and richness to the design palette. Crafted around an existing structure, the glass facade brings in ample amount of daylight and has readapted an unused terrazzo space. The menu has an extensive range of coastline culinary offerings, from not only India but also Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Thailand and other Asian regions.
