Laid-back luxury: Charming eco-retreat for the perfect Goa vacation

Located on the pristine Agonda Beach in Goa, Dunhill Beach Resort is the perfect getaway for the offbeat traveller. Conceptualised by the Mumbai based design firm Architecture Brio in collaboration with the owners, it is inspired by an eco-conscious system, where every component can be reassembled within a week.

Unlike other temporary shacks built and broken down after the tourist season, these structures are designed to avoid yearly construction waste. They can be fitted in exactly the same manner each year without breakage or extra masonry costs. Its roof can be removed and put back easily with minimum expenses.

Each 200 sq ft cottage is equipped with all the basic amenities. While the bathroom fittings are made of metal, copper and brass to avoid damage during dismantling, the traditional sewage line is absorbed in the garden thereby creating an ecological framework which does not require additional water for the plants.

Clad on all sides with elegant slatted screens, the cabanas appear like floating lanterns at sundown.
