Spread over 6,000 sq ft, the home textiles and accessories Cottons & Satins by Mala’s first store in the metropolitan takes industrial design up a notch with serene all white interiors to create the perfect canvas for the firm’s colourful offerings. The expanse is divided into various segments within barnyard themed interiors. “We tried to do justice to the whole space with different concepts for each section,” states Mala Sapra, the company’s founder.

We love how one corner has an oriental theme, while another bears muted tones. Large windows ensure maximum sunlight and lush foliage is dotted throughout (even suspended from the ceiling) for an organic touch. New Delhi based designer Amith Chhabra, who envisioned the outlet, knew exactly what he wanted when he saw the property. “Since it was an open plan, we faced no challenges. It was like working on a clean slate!” he revealed.

From signature screen printed handloom cotton fabrics and cushions to wallpapers and accessories including candles, bags, pouches and photo frames, the outpost presents a wide array of products. The store has also launched the brand’s first furniture line, which is exclusive to the city.
