An artistic interlude awaits Freedom Tree’s Spring–Summer 2026 collection

'Promise to the Planet' is a meditation on the forces that shape life

BY

In a culture steeped in rich design traditions, Freedom Tree’s Spring–Summer 2026 collection emerges as a contemplative pause, an artistic interlude that celebrates the subtle magnificence of the natural world. ‘Promise to the Planet’ reflects the brand’s continued reflection on unfolding geological changes and depleting ecosystems. It is an exploration of nature’s monumental beauty, inviting one to slow down and rediscover the awe inspired by vast landscapes. At its heart, the collection is a meditation on the forces that shape life: water, mineral, air and sky. Through painterly prints, expansive compositions, and tactile weaves, Freedom Tree translates the monumental scale of nature into intimate objects designed for everyday living.

Of the mountains, trees and rivers

The collection unfolds through twinned elemental narratives. Reflected sky and water capture the horizons and breath of untouched landscapes. It draws on the vastness of the Pangong Lake, the Himalayan glacial pools, with mirrored mountainscapes and fluid teal tones that evoke reflection and movement. Then, as the waters flow into rivers, they give life to the forests and grasslands. The Terai-Duar, located at the Himalayan foothills, harbours the world’s tallest, rarest and most threatened savanna worldwide. Inspired by this, a scenic print has been created. The grassland and savanna flow across the Terai fabric in a naive hand-painted aesthetic. Based on an artwork created in the studio, the rendition pays homage to this land and the endangered species it houses.

The colour curation has been special to consider for this collection! Instead of going pastel or fresh, typically of spring, Freedom Tree went deeper in colour. Deep teal and emerald from waters, loamy wet greens, ochres that speak of grasslands. These colours give gravitas to what we want to say, the monumental nature of the subject. Mirrored sky and water. Endless horizons of growing things.

What lies ahead

Within the range, the next focus is on rock, minerals and rare earth. Fossils and precious stratification that give us jewel-like stones. The colours segue into warm tones, of red agate, earthy Indian reds and fiery reds from the molten earth core. To bring this design opus to life and echo the spirit of the collection, the campaign was photographed against open skies, flowing water and natural terrains. In a microcosm nearby, the settings mirror the elements that inspire the collection, allowing the prints and textiles to reference the original landscapes.

These designs flow beyond home furnishings into breezy clothing silhouettes crafted in naturally friendly fabrics, extending the collection’s spirit of ease and movement. The result – a season that feels quietly powerful, rooted yet modern, poetic yet purposeful.
