Art is never simply decoration; it’s also an amalgamation of stories and memories. In a home that defines itself by artistic interventions, this space is a visual experience. Built by Studio Patternmaker’s Principal Designer, Parthavi Patel, the 3,000 sq ft home in Ahmedabad, Gujarat co-exists with beauty. The homeowners’ desire to feel art in the space also resulted in the transformative qualities; a burst of colours, patterns and memorabilia that make the space lived-in. The home consists of the living and dining spaces, a kitchen, four bedrooms, a puja room and a terrace.
“We explored how art could shape the atmosphere, how texture and light could echo the brushstrokes of a painting or the form of a sculpture. Slowly, the space began to evolve, not as a canvas for art, but as art itself” — Parthavi Patel
