Farah Ahmed’s West Elm Edit is a must-have for homes

Farah Ahmed, principal designer at FADD Studio defines good design as “In addition to being aesthetically and functionally satisfying, I think good design has to be authentic, timeless and thereby memorable.” To state the attributes of what good design entails, she asserts colour being crucial followed by scale, form and proportion. Finally, ending with yet another insightful design attribute, she says, “Patterns and textures are required for good layering.”

In a conversation with ELLE Decor India, Ahmed picks her top favourites from West Elm India’s sublime collection. They comprise a silhouette pedestal round dining table, a classy drum storage coffee table and several other decorative yet super functional pieces that are not only one-of-a-kind but are also sustainably designed to meet the comfort of homes in an fun and functional manner.
