Knoll celebrates total design legacy in Bangalore

BY

Knoll brought its iconic design philosophy to India with an exclusive panel discussion titled “Total Design: The Enduring Legacy of Knoll in Contemporary Spaces,” hosted by Workplace Solutions at Sabha, Bangalore.

The evening drew over 150 attendees from leading design firms across Bangalore, filling the venue to capacity. The ambience inside Sabha reflected Knoll’s signature blend of sophistication and boldness. Guests mingled over drinks and curated bites, surrounded by some of the most iconic pieces of modern furniture ever created.

Moderated by Mrudul Pathak Kundu, Editor of ELLE DECOR India, the panel reflected on Florence Knoll’s groundbreaking Total Design philosophy, which transformed interiors into integrated, human-centric environments.

The distinguished panel featured Asha Kushalappa from DWP Interics, Vijaya Bhargav from Ostraca, Jaime Daza from Gensler, and Alexandra Ramundi from MillerKnoll. Together, they explored how Knoll’s legacy resonates in India’s contemporary design landscape, from blending vernacular architecture with global standards to sustainability, craftsmanship, and the enduring appeal of modern classics

Complementing the discussion was a curated product display that showcased Knoll’s most iconic pieces, including the Barcelona Chair, Bertoia Diamond Chair, Tulip Chair, MR Chair, Cesca Chair, Platner Collection, Wassily Chair, and Womb Chair. Each piece was thoughtfully presented with its design story, an invitation to pause, admire, and engage with Knoll’s modernist legacy reimagined for today.

“Knoll’s heritage has always been about creating spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful,” said Praveen Muppidi, Senior Regional Sales Director at MillerKnoll. “In India, where workplaces are rapidly evolving, these principles are more relevant than ever.”

The full house gathering reinforced Knoll’s enduring message: design is intentional, authentic, and deeply human, values that continue to shape workplaces and interiors worldwide.
