In the heart of this penthouse, the ‘Speakeasy’ media room contains a custom wall finish, an upholstered ceiling in velvet by Claremont; the perfect getaway from usual parties, designed by Hines Collective, founded by Devin Hines. The sofa is upholstered in performance fabric by Holly Hunt, for ultimate comfort, complemented by the “Sunburst” coffee table. The room is a swanky contrast from the earthy tones of the rest of the house, with the hammered gold bar and a dark oxblood crimson to set the mood of the party. 

Beyond the shelf with Beyond Designs 

This bar screams drama and bold; but don’t be afraid to approach it, since it’s right at home. Designed by Neha Gupta and Sachin Gupta of Beyond Designs, leather stools are lined underneath the golden glow of a layered chandelier, enhancing the deep red open-closed shelving cabinets that hold the essentials amongst lavish materials. The rich elements create a sense of style and an inviting charm for your next gathering. 

A concoction of colours with Küche7

In this home bar, the burgundy island accentuated by golden bar stools are a reason for a celebration in themselves.Naeem Chauhan, Founder and Managing director of Küche7 brings to us an enchanting home bar that is the essence for any gathering. A warm ambiance is created by the matte black shelves that are home to the spirits and glassware. Surrounding lush green plants are the garnishing to this home bar and bring together a soft, organic charm.

Espresso yourself with 42MM Architecture 

As drinks bring character to special occasions, so do the statement pieces to this home bar, making the space inviting and memorable. A marble finish countertop and luxurious gold-accented stools bring home opulence, accompanied by a slatted wooden backdrop, the perfect place for any magical experience, as stated by Rudraksh Charan and Priyanka Khanna, Founders and Architects of 42MM Architecture.   

Love at first pint with A Square Designs 

Deep wooden tones and rich brown hues create a warm atmosphere, whether it’s for a quiet evening in or for a gathering. A stunning painting acts as the centrepiece to the home bar, designed by Ajay Arya, Founder of A Square Designs, which is completed with comfortable green armchairs that are paired perfectly with the counter. 

Burst of flavours with Icon Projects Inspace Private Limited 

Entertainment for your guests deserves to be grand —  just like this home bar. One’s attention is instantly drawn to the luminous emerald-green front accompanied by a sleek black countertop with metallic accents, in contrast to the marble flooring. Amit and Preeti Porwal, Founders, of Icon Projects Inspace Private Limited (IPIPL) are mindful of the ambiance, and transitions from vibrant and lively to intimate and warm. Transparent bar stools complement the space, and the bar leads into the dining area, making it a perfect accommodation for entertaining.  

Creating ripples with KOKO by K2India

Like a cocktail, this home bar is a mixture of the best elements — to create a tantalising refreshment. Kohelika Kohli, Founder of K2India, pushes traditional ideas and boundaries at this home bar, with its design and materials, combining influences from English Classical, Art Deco, Biedermeier and contemporary furniture designs to create the ideal space to create concoctions! 

Subtle tones with Sumessh Menon Associates 

In Golden Oasis, the bungalow of Summesh Menon, the bar is a pop of colour against the elegant backdrop of his home. Luxury can be subtle, as the bungalow reminds us with the sculptural grey quartzite counter with metal inserts. This elegance is accompanied by stylish and comfortable bar chairs; the ideal retreat for adults.  

Perfect blends with Nivasa

Timeless charm meets functional design in this elegant bar setup, styled by Saba Kapoor, Co-founder of Nivasa. Classic woodwork, the key to sophistication, is inlaid with detailing and a muted pastel finish. Plush stools for added comfort contribute to the affluence of this bar, with warm lighting engulfing the lasting memories. 

At peace with Basics Studio

At Zen House, designed by Khushboo Kakkar of Basics Studio the use of terracotta, niches and arches extend to the home bar, which is not only luxurious but also a place to sip back and relax. The tangerine tones exude serenity and calmness, in the bustle of entertainment and adjacent to the home bar, the balcony offers views of its lush golf course, the perfect visual accompaniment to any drink.  

Subtle maximalism with Amoeba Designs

A replication of a New York-style home in Pune by Satyajeet Patwardhan and Pashmin Shah of Amoeba Designs, this home bar is an identity in itself. With rustic brick-clad walls, and loft-esque mood of the house, the bar’s subtle maximalism creates the modern, rustic and airy distinction, making you feel right at home. 

Take it outside with Studio Dvara

Here, drinks are not the only thing mixing – so are depth and texture from the herringbone pattern in dark stone that make a modern and polished outdoor home bar setup.  Dhatri Dabbara and Pratyusha Reddy, Co-Founders & Principal Architects at Studio Dvara wanted to blend functionality with an outdoor-inspired vibe, which resulted in this dramatic yet serene home bar. Here, less is more, with minimalist decor pieces that dot the counter and an intricate detailing on the glass behind, the perfect chic bar for any outdoor affair. 

DIG Architect’s intoxicating home bar 

Using vaults as their primary element, Principal architects Amit Khanolkar and Advait Potnis explore only materials that uniquely compliment the home. Its rugged personality reveals how even the most minimalist, fuss-free aesthetics can create an alluring bar. Envisioned as a gabion wall, a hint of leather-finished avocado stone and Moroso armchairs break the uniformity from the rest of the home.
