In the heart of this Manhattan duplex, the ‘Speakeasy’ media room contains a custom wall finish, an upholstered ceiling in velvet by Claremont; the perfect getaway from usual parties, designed by Hines Collective, founded by Devin Hines. The sofa is upholstered in performance fabric by Holly Hunt for ultimate comfort, complemented by the “Sunburst” coffee table, which is as whimsical as its atmosphere. The room is a swanky contrast from the earthy tones of the rest of the house, with the hammered gold bar and a dark oxblood crimson to set the mood of the party.

Beyond the shelf with Beyond Designs 

This bar screams drama and is bold. Watch as a dramatic scene plays out, right at home. Designed by Neha Gupta and Sachin Gupta of Beyond Designs, leather stools are lined underneath the golden glow of a layered chandelier, enhancing the deep red open-closed shelving cabinets that hold the essentials amongst lavish materials. The rich elements create a sense of style and an inviting atmosphere for your next gathering.

In this home bar, the burgundy island, accentuated by golden bar stools, is a reason for a celebration in itself. Naeem Chauhan, Founder and Managing Director of Küche7, brings to us an enchanting home bar that is the essence of any gathering. A warm ambience is created by the matte black shelves that are home to the spirits and glassware. Surrounding lush green plants are the garnishing to this home bar and bring together a soft, organic charm.

A stunning painting acts as the centrepiece to the home bar, designed by Ajay Arya, Founder of A Square Designs, which is completed with comfortable green armchairs that are paired perfectly with the counter.

Burst of flavours with Icon Projects Inspace Private Limited 

Entertainment for your guests deserves to be grand — just like this home bar. One’s attention is instantly drawn to the luminous emerald-green front accompanied by a sleek black countertop with metallic accents, in contrast to the marble flooring. Amit and Preeti Porwal, Founders, of Icon Projects Inspace Private Limited (IPIPL) are mindful of the ambiance, and transitions from vibrant and lively to intimate and warm. Transparent bar stools complement the space, and the bar leads into the dining area, making it a perfect accommodation for entertaining.

Dhatri Dabbara and Pratyusha Reddy, Co-Founders and Principal Architects at Studio Dvara, wanted to blend functionality with an outdoor-inspired vibe, which resulted in this dramatic yet serene home bar. Here, less is more, with minimalist decor pieces that dot the counter and an intricate detailing on the glass behind, the perfect chic bar for any outdoor affair.

DIG Architect’s intoxicating home bar 

Using vaults as their primary element, Principal architects Amit Khanolkar and Advait Potnis explore only materials that uniquely complement the home. Its rugged personality reveals how even the most minimalist, fuss-free aesthetics can create an alluring bar in Mumbai. Envisioned as a gabion wall, a hint of leather-finished avocado stone and Moroso armchairs break the uniformity of the rest of the home.
