ArclineaUnafraid to take risks, Arclinea, one of the world’s leading kitchen brands, has long been at the forefront of unconventional design and concept. That’s why in a world of ordinary cabinetry, their modular wonders stood out even during the 1960s. From the Italian brand’s latest offerings, we love Stainless Steel Double Shelf for being an open space kitchen with agile organised closed areas for storage. The composition is characterised by a central island with Hono Elm Laminate top, which also turns into a practical table. Website: www.scavolini.com5. #EDDesignerFind Forma for Alessi by Zaha Hadid Design

#EDDesignerFind Forma for Alessi by Zaha Hadid Design
Continuing the collaborative legacy that Zaha Hadid shared with Alessi, the iconic Iraqi architect designed last her product for the Italian brand, the Forma grater. Like many of Hadidian architectural works, the grater is inspired by natural forms that have been smoothed over time by water and by the wind.
Consisting of two elements – a sculptural black base holding a mirror-polished stainless steel grater – Forma has an ergonomic shape designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. A pattern of asymmetrical holes allows for the cheese to be grated and sprinkled unevenly, giving a unique texture to any dish.
The grater is paired with a stand creating an overall sculptural centrepiece; from rock to grater, this piece is both playful yet functional.  The product perfectly represents the 2004 Pritzker Prize winner’s visionary design, which absorbed ideas from the visual arts and processed them into small, tabletop works of architecture.

#NewCollectionAlert: Bulthaup’s launches at Salone del Mobile
Leading German kitchenware label launched their new b+ solitaires, b1 and b3 ranges at the recently concluded Salone Del Mobile 2016 in Milan. Talking about the inspiration behind their new offerings Marc Eckert, CEO and co-founder of Bulthaup said, “Today in a kitchen 30 percent is about workflow and the rest is all about communication”.
The b+ solitaires system blurs the line between the kitchen and living area; the individual elements make it possible to create different living spaces around the table. The b1 line is a modular system, which is easy to assemble and adapts to the needs of the user. Their b3 range is all about creating a personalised atmosphere using the interplay of material and light. Within a few seconds, the user can create either an efficient working environment or a comfortable living ambiance.
Marc also highlighted how important functionality is to the brand: “The 21st century is all about personalisation and now with our range you can configure your living space according to your own life and moods and also have the atmosphere you want to perceive.”
