#NewCollectionAlert: Cottons & Satins x Sarah Todd Living range of table linen

Premium textile brand Cottons & Satins by Mala has collaborated with celebrity chef Sarah Todd of MasterChef Australia fame to release a beautiful line of table linen and kitchenware. The Cottons and Satins x Sarah Todd Living range comprises three sub collections, or what the label calls “stories”: Monochrome, Indigo and Garden Party, each with their own table covers and  mats, napkins, runners, tea towels, aprons and ceramics.

“I think people are quite reserved in terms of what they use on their dining tables,” states Sarah, whose restaurant Antares in Goa serves dishes that clearly display her love for stunning presentation. “You eat with your eyes first so it’s very important to use beautiful pieces to complement your food.” Sarah also wanted to ensure that the versatile line is affordable for the everyday consumer.

“Each story has one colour way and two patterns,” explains Mala Sapra, Founder of  Cottons & Satins. “For instance, Garden Party features some pieces with a geometric print, but others with a floral print. It’s all about mixing and matching depending on the time, season, weather and your mood.”

Sarah, who also has a background in modeling, expressed that her main inspiration came from fashion. “My mood board featured everything from dresses to artworks,” she pointed out. “I had a clear vision of what I wanted and Mala, with her years of expertise, executed it perfectly!”
