Lights made from fruits and veggies

Who’d ever imagine that vegetation could make for chic chandeliers? Highlighting the botanical beauties in the most unlikely way, Sonia Rentsch divulges, “ I was fiddling with a bunch of cabbage leaves and thought that they would look incredibly beautiful illuminated,” this sparked the idea for this personal project. Melbourne’s multidisciplinary art director and still life artist, Sonia Rentsch collaborated with photographer Scott Newett to compose “The Right Light” series. The industrial design graduate from RMIT University has also tried her hand at films and prop styling, where she believes in seeking beauty in all things and disguising complexity in simple forms.
