It’s time to catch up with loved ones over home-cooked meals with easy-flowing conversations. It’s also the most hectic time of the year – shopping, prepping, cooking and cleaning all seem to loom over your head like a dark cloud. Banish them with this ray of light – our guide for a party tablescape that’s easy-breezy to set up.

Fairy lights or garlands make for appealing and eye-catching decorations. You can even twist and turn them into various shapes as wall decorations. Infuse a hint of glamour to the whole affair by using shimmering fabric as a table cloth for your festive spread. You can also use plush velvet fabrics with a slight sheen as rich table runners.

Top it off with neatly arranged china. Plain plates can be made festive with metallic cutlery and napkin rings. You can even use candles in clear plastic bowls for a more intimate setting.
