Architects Mohammed Afnan and Arun Shekar, cofounders of Humming Tree design studio, have designed a minimal yet outlandish workspace, unlike a typical office, for Limotex. “We drew inspiration from art galleries to create an ethos that encourages one to relax and enjoy work,” explain the creative duo. For the 1,010 sq ft workplace, they decided on an airy and uplifting layout, devoid of unnecessary signages and decorated with statement lighting, quirky accessories and cheery, mustard yellow walls.

The reception area features a black desk and American artist Jeff Koons’ iconic balloon dog—a piece that lends an endearing, idiosyncratic touch. Moving in, the palette shifts between blacks, whites and glimpses of green to offset the bright hue. The passage leading to the conference room is adorned with mid century photo frames and San Pedro cacti—a perfect contrast to the bright interiors.
