Here are three things you can do to liven up barren corners and let spectators be in awe of your imagination

Throw out the shade cards and go with your gut. Explore a creative twist on your walls, accents and lighting – think kaleidoscopic graphic art with cheery colours. Here are three things you can do to liven up barren corners and let spectators be in awe of your imagination.

1. Make a Splash: Awash dull walls with bucket full of hues. Colour block them in an angular fashion to create perception of scale. Here shades of Green Lantern, Sunny Day and Azure Sky from Asian Paints work together well.

2. Lighten Up: Sparks fly when inexpensive tubes become the point of interest. Expose and affix them to follow a skewed direction, perhaps taking cues from the wall paint. Hang a sculptural light like this Fractal lamp from Dhoop.
