Soak up some Mediterranean charm at one of Mumbai’s brand new culinary address—Maffy’s

With an uninterrupted view of the Arabian sea, Maffy’s at Colaba is a must stop for those who enjoy accompanying their dining experience with a touch of culture, travel and tradition. Uniquely built along the framework of their fictional mascot’s travels and adventurous to the faraway lands of Istanbul, Jeddah and Marrakech, you soon leave the confines of this 800 sq ft space onto flavourful food trip.
A true reflection and insight into Middle Eastern culture, the facing wall as you enter Maffy’s greets you with the classic Hand of Fatima—a symbol of happiness, good health and fortune. Colourful floral vine patterned murals adorn the walls and the ceiling lined with mirrored wooden arches, draws its inspiration from Morocco. Creative souvenirs of their vibrant culture can be seen as lampshades that are a take on the Fez caps popular in Turkey and the classic blue and white patterned Mediterranean dining plates lined against the walls.
The menu caters for both big sumptuous meals as well as gourmet grazing, and displays beautiful watercolour illustrations alongside. Standouts in the Hummus section include Signature Smokey Cauliflower Hummus and Green Pearl Hummus, while Smoked Eggplant Carpaccio and Rose Petal & Chamomile Rubbed Chicken Tzatziki are some exotic cold plate options. Salads with interesting, creative titles like ‘Oh Morocco’ and ‘Once in Damascus’ are a refreshing and playful change, while the deliciously vast varieties of bread like Pita toasties and Pide (hand stretched Turkish Pizzas) leave you spoilt for choice!
Meals from the region would be incomplete without the trademark Kebabs, some favourites being Afghani Dum Nalli and Samak Meheshwi. Wash down these delicious appetisers with quirky and creatively styled drinks from their elaborate mocktail collection like The Burj and Ting Tong Guava.
