Pythagoras' Study is the new range of furniture by Iqrup + Ritz

Bring Pythagoras back to your home, without the math textbooks. ‘Pythagoras’ Study’, a new range of furniture by Iqrup + Ritz, juxtaposes the Greek mathematician’s rigid theorem with inspiration from the fluid style of British sculptor Henry Moore. This cross-pollination of geometric and flexible surprisingly creates a subtle bohemian vibe, with structured shelves and eclectic tables. The Samos shelf is a tribute to Pythagoras’ birthplace in Greece, with triangular displays and dark wood. Pair it with The Henry Coffee Table, its curvy base highlighting Moore’s semi-abstract forms, and hand-woven shawls by artisans in Gujarat to forge a cosy living room.

Ritika Dhamija, the Co-Founder and CEO of the firm, who lives in London, takes ELLE DECOR India through her individual connect with Moore. “Henry Moore was one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Personally encountering Henry Moore’s sculptures on walks around London is one of the many pleasures of living in the city. Hence, we have taken inspiration from his organic, cylindrical and human forms and infused them into our designs to create a dynamic, boho-chic study look,” she says. Website: www.iqrupandritz.com
