Bold statement chairs, cool frames and shelves with an eclectic mix of curios welcome you at the entrance of Homelane.com’s new 2,500 sq ft experience centre in Bengaluru. Local retail design firm, Restore Design, is responsible for the impeccably designed two-floored space in Hebbal, which showcases exquisite concepts for living, dining, bedrooms and lounge spaces.
Customers can now get a preview of the beautiful homes they have always dreamed of at the experience center. “From the moment customers walk in, our team of designers and architects will give them a tour of the store and guide them in the making of their dream home,” says Srikanth Iyer, co-founder and CEO of Homelane.com
The furniture is a wonderful blend of old-world charm and modernity. Dipti Das, design head at Homelane.com says, “We aim to provide the customers with a one-stop-shop experience that they will turn to for all their décor needs. You will find everything from patterned textures, matte and high gloss finishes, textured walls and furniture in bold and neutral hues.”
“The central idea was to create a modern colour palette, ranging from striking hues to muted tones to break the monotony of traditional monotone spaces,” says Srikanth. The lavish and glossy acrylics of the kitchen décor hold the promise of Michelin-starred chefs being invited for special dinners every now and then. But the star of this store is what they call the ‘Inpiration Space’. “You will find quiet nooks that hold interesting decor and complementing walls to rouse the customer’s imagination,” he adds.
A staircase leads you to the second floor, exhibiting all sorts of gorgeous products that you’d want to take home – textured walls in bedroom setups, floor-to-ceiling Armadio wardrobes, aesthetic modern bar displays and a kid’s activity area to keep the tiny tots busy while you hold negotiations in the meeting room.
Another exciting feature that Homelane offers is their innovative virtual design platform called SpaceCraft. The module fashions your floor plan and allows you to remodel your home in a virtual Lego-box-like user experience. On a concluding note, Srikanth says, “We utilise latent talent in India through our Design Partners initiative. 350 architects and interior designers across 5 cities come on board to curate and design.”
