Entering the Good Earth store in Mumbai’s bustling Lower Parel neighbourhood, you’re immediately transported away from the frenetic streets to a calm and peaceful oasis scented with jasmine. This year, the brand celebrates the completion of 21 years and to mark this milestone, they’ve not only released new collections under the Van Vaibhav theme, but also have repurposed some of their older famous collections. Their first-ever design of Chillies has now become Mango Chutney, a casual dining collection. They’ve also combined the ranges of Persia Garden and Baradari to the Rosa Bagh, a range of fine bone china depicting the motifs of Persian and Mughal life.
The new collection Van Vaibhav celebrates nature, picturesque grasslands and flora. Elaborating on the importance of the theme, Anita Lal, Founder and Creative Director of the brand says, “Van Vaibhav is the guiding philosophy that has been with us for the 21 years so on our anniversary, the theme is who we are and as our name tells you Good Earth is about celebrating everything that’s around us.” This collection also has designs featured for the Elephant Parade, which donates 20% of its net profits to elephant welfare and conservation projects.
