From Cannes to Mumbai: Cosy Box in Lower Parel is a restaurant all about that silver screen glamour

Lower Parel houses some of the tallest skyscrapers, is a hub for showrooms, and is known to have the best nightlife. You will also find a wide range of restaurants with varying global cuisines to satisfy your cravings. But does only food do the job? Or does the restaurant interior have something to do with it? Bringing all the glitz and glamour from Cannes right here to you in Mumbai, is the newly opened Cosy Box in Lower Parel. 

After gaining quick popularity in Delhi, Cosy box, has now opened its second outpost in Mumbai. Situated at One Lodha Place, in Lower Parel, it is now open to its patrons in Mumbai. 

Reveling through the restaurant’s aesthetic

The restaurant perched inside the tower in One Lodha Place, spans over approximately 10,000 sq ft of space where with its heighted ceiling, elegantly dotted furniture and dimensional lighting, where design revolves around maximalism, portraying an aesthetic blend of colour and textures.

Upon entrance one notices the huge glass windows, letting in just the right amount of sunlight, for those perfect sun-kissed photos. These windows are the major source of light during the day, and reflect off the bright furniture and bold textures, creating an interesting play of light and shadow you won’t stop looking at. And that’s not it, as the sun sets, experience the perfect golden hour, with rays passing through the glass windows, making the restaurant glow as if its adorned in shiny jewels. 

The various seating arrangements and styles gives one the liberty to choose their mood for the day, whether it be a family dinner or a night out with their friends! Ranging from muted greys to hues of red and green, the seating is a playful mix of colour and texture. The walls follow the monotony of tiles and an arrangement of rods and circles, surrounded by concealed lighting, giving the space more depth and dimension while the ceiling adds onto the dimension with its bold patterns and fluted design.

With shadows falling on the flooring and creating patterns, the bar shines brightly against the sunlight during the day. Looking over the perfect view of skyscrapers and huge office complexes seen from afar, the bar is the focal point of the restaurant.  The black textured island is topped with a light wood countertop and paired with dark green high chairs. The subtle hints of metallic accents and figurines present makes the space look cohesive and brings in the silver screen glamour and bling! As the evening falls and the cloud-clad buildings light up the night sky, experience the view while sipping on a curated list of cocktails and drinks. 

Exploring their signature dishes

With a wide range of global cuisine, ranging from Italian to Asian to Turkish, Cosy Box brings the best of global cuisines right to your plate. The menu, with a vast collection of Vegetarian and Nonvegetarian food, is paired with beverages and cocktails made to perfectly balance the food.

One of the classics is the vegetarian Turkish Cottage Cheese urfa, served with dips and soft lavash, that will be made and presented right in front of you! The seafood menu is just as enticing and scrumptious. The Chilli Salt Calamari and Shrimp Popcorn is the perfect start to a more palatable cuisine that is yet to follow.

Whether you’re a sweet tooth or not, ending your every meal on a sweet note is a must. With mouthwatering desserts such as the Chocolate Hazelnut Creanchi Mousse along with Moroccan Kunafe, the dessert options are just as versatile, from fruits to chocolate to nuts, a menu curated to crave every taste bud.
