#EDWOWFind: Kantha work cushions and quilts by Stitch by Stitch

MAY 31, 2016 | By Nishita Fiji
As we near the monsoons, it’s a good time to stock up on cosy quilts for the gloomiest of days. London based textile brand Stitch by Stitch’s Chindi Collection of patchwork cushions and quilts with delicate kantha work, make for a rather promising option.
Kala cotton – a drought resistant crop, also known as Old World cotton – is used to make these fabrics as these are crafted by artisans in Kutch region of Gujarat. These organic textiles are naturally dyed and hand woven using local skills and techniques to create contemporary designs.
We especially love the small irregularities in the weave of these quilts and cushions, which add to the natural charm of the handmade products.
