Realised alongside Dutch firm Concrete, the ground floor has an open plan lobby that, according to CMO Robin Chadha, is “styled to look like the living room of a very well-travelled person"

On your next visit to the English capital, head a little past the Tate Modern to find the trendiest contemporary address in town.

From Deutschland’s acclaimed hotel group, this new Citizen M is located at the scenic Bankside and has the words “Another World Is Possible” rightfully gracing its facade. Step in and it is like walking into your arty friend’s loft, peppered with zestful designs and a young, contagious vibrancy that rethinks the boutique inn concept. Realised alongside Dutch firm Concrete, the ground floor has an open plan lobby that, according to CMO Robin Chadha, is “styled to look like the living room of a very well-travelled person”.

The super trendy space is seasoned with artworks, curios and tomes while canteenM, where you can grab a bite, emulates a home kitchen. Inside the 192 guest rooms, one can find wall to wall windows, expansive cushy beds that touch three partitions and spacecraft like showers. Decor aside, their highlight remains the idea of serving the independent guest – from check-in to luncheons, it is all self-serve.
