Between opulence and restraint, this Alibaug estate by Isprava Group speaks of a European holiday

Not too far from Mumbai’s thrumming cacophony, Alibaug is a sanctuary in its own right. Amidst the sea, breeze and sprawling greens, calling this estate home by Isprava Group spanning a majestic 62,990 sq ft anything but a palatial premise is an understatement. The architecture though masterfully modern, its surroundings are suffused in nature.
The home extends with enchanting outdoors — from a wonder-inciting treehouse that will make the kid in you nostalgic, to stunning gazebos and a secret dining space — ensuring that you never need to step out of the estate in search of play and repose.
European entrances and secret dining spaces…
Walking in through a pathway enveloped in foliage, grand European style doors beckon on inside this villa. The living space makes the designer’s predilection for lush and lavish, yet clean interiors. The floor to ceiling windows offer a spectacular view of the surroundings, whilst the neutral furnishings adorned with line patterns read like well composed verses. The textured artwork and ochre woven rug bring the space together.
Perfect for an evening soiree of ten (or even a hearty meal for two), the dining table is refined and classic, accompanied by chairs adorned with rattan and line patterns. The fluid layout and design of the home, leads you past the kitchen space to the bedrooms.
The designers weren’t afraid to play with colours in the bedrooms. A soft pink back wall is the backdrop for a cosy white bed in one room, while mint green fills the canvas of the walls in the kids’ room with double twin beds. The novel fixtures around the home are contemporary and captivating, allowing the gaze to trail along the expanse of the home.
Nuanced neutrality
Beige is the farthest from blase in this home, enveloping the walls and furnishings alike. Taupe and muted greens make the perfect addition to this colour story.
A subtle layering of textures and a more obvious tonal contrast juxtaposes – for a colour and material palette reminiscent of modern European panache. The irrigation system saves water and the composting facilities ensure that one gives back to the abundance the estate is surrounded with.
Blending grounded with luxury is integral to Isprava Group’s design philosophy and every corner of the home is bedecked in this warmth that caters to your design sensibilities. In their words, “The home is imbued with an intimate charm through elegant details woven in – like a secret dining area and inviting sit-outs with carefully selected patterns, materials and artworks in focus.”
