Recently, a selective gathering of Delhi’s designers, stylists and wedding planners converged at Villeroy & Boch’s Signature Table Settings held in association with ELLE DECOR India at the brand’s flagship store in DLF Emporio, New Delhi. Experts Punam Kalra, Alina Vadera and Punit Jasuja shared tips and insights with those present, while creating stunning tablescapes in tune with the upcoming festive season.
Drawing inspiration from and working with Villeroy & Boch’s exclusive dinnerware collections – Audun Ferme, Anmut Platinum and Amazonia – they brought in their own distinctive style to the layout. They took the patrons through a step-by-step guide on how to arrange a beautiful spread with the correct placement of flatware, chargers, dinner plates, napkins, cups, saucers and glasses.
We caught up with Punit Jasuja who revealed, “My inspiration came from the colours of the Amazonia collection. I used white as the base hue and added splashes of pink and green with flowers and lighting to create a sense of drama.”
Similarly, Alina Vadera also played with neutral shades with striped grey and white mats from the Anmut Platinum collection, which was kept on a marble Satvario slab with terraniums and tealights. “I wanted to achieve a natural look with contemporary appeal,” she said.
On the other hand Punam Kalra contrasted her setting with black and gold to create an instant impact without being overpowering. “I try to incorporate nature in my work, so I paired twigs and branches with the French countryside inspired Audun Ferme range,” she disclosed.
