Composure is the key to the new FutureMe space in Breach Candy, Mumbai. A thoughtful space that recognises the strength of subtlety. Composed skincare does not always get noticed, but when combined with strong branding and a sense of luxury, it becomes convincing. This space is that balance. Designed by Kayzad Shroff and María Isabel Jiménez León of SHROFFLEoN, the interiors are a spatial translation of the brand’s philosophy. The branding is integrated into the architecture, making its presence felt through details rather than statements.
All features point to FutureMe’s conviction that luxury is best experienced when it is tempered. The design language is consistent with SHROFFLEoN’s design philosophy of geometric discipline, material sophistication and a focus on functional beauty. The result is a well-intentioned space that allows the brand’s ethos to inhabit it effortlessly.
Anointed in light
What does luxury look like when it chooses to be felt rather than flaunted? The new space for FutureMe responds with bedazzled and immersive attributes that reflect the philosophy of a soothing and nourishing skincare brand. Here, art and lighting come together to create a world that draws from diverse dimensions but is grounded in tranquillity. At its core is a custom-designed glass chandelier that serves as the emotional and visual centrepiece of the space. Kayzad Shroff had visualised a lighting fixture that takes inspiration from the crown of thorns that was placed on Jesus’ head with spikes that spread out in all directions, disturbing the notion of a perfect circle while radiating diffused light. Designed in collaboration with Arjun Rathi, the chandelier’s asymmetrical and crown-like shards dissolve the boundaries between sculptural art and lighting design, becoming a beacon that leads people into the contemplative world of FutureMe.
