Imagine collection by Poltrona Frau expands much beyond what we can envisage at Salone del Mobile 2024

Imagination veers from regular thinking processes and breaks into inviting artistic expression of our desires into even the mundane. This creative candour in our surroundings can transform the way we feel and inhabit our homes. Poltrona Frau, known for this imaginative process, takes it a step further with their Imagine Collection, presented at Salone del Mobile 2024.

Entrenched with innovation in technique and materials, the Imagine collection encapsulates different aspects of the imagination in its sub-themes of Imagine Reality, Imagine Softness, Imagine Culture and Crafts, Imagine Boundless Living, Imagine Versatility and Imagine Well-Being.

Melding the past and the present, collaborating with the pioneers of the industry, the collections brought forth both old illustrations and new interpretations. 

Imagine Reality featured a reinterpretation of  Vanity Fair XC – Poltrona’s partnership with Italian luxury brand, Fornasetti  – for a surreal series of 50 pieces. 

British Artist Faye Toogood’s collaboration with the brand for the sinuous and enticing Squash series and the Parka sofa in collaboration with design duo Draga & Aurel makes for relaxation with Imagine Softness.

African tailoring melds with the quintessence of British tailoring in Imagine Culture and Crafts, where bespoke couturier Ozwald Boateng expands his capsule collection. 

To enliven our everyday, Imagine Well-Being is conceptualised on the posits of joy and satisfaction in the mundane features of the Beautilities collection for our environment, pets, board games, fitness regimes and travel, as a route to complete well-being in every aspect of life.

The rigid boundary between interior and exterior is blurred with the Solaria range designed by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba and the Cestlavie Outdoor coffee tables and Mirabell sofa by GamFratesi. Thinking outside the box for personal and captivating exterior spaces creates Imagine Boundless Living. Illuminating the collection is the Sparkler collection of Outdoor lanterns designed by Kensaku Oshiro that shine forth as real illuminated sculptures in various weaves, structures and accessories.

Imagine Versatility embraces its name. The Duo collection designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, a collaboration between Ceccotti Collezioni and Poltrona Frau brings back the cosy and welcoming ‘50s  drawing rooms with the Duo Chair, Table, Bench and Cabinet. An ode to cinema, crafted for your home theatres, the new Pillow armchair indulges one with the most opulent film-watching experience, replete with mechanisms, customisations and seating options. The Archibald collection, Nymph table lamps designed with German designer Sebastian Herkner amongst others find expression through meticulous craftsmanship and exquisite raw materials. 

With their Imagine Variety theme, Poltrona presents their new range of leather and fabric upholstery.  The vision of creating a better environment beyond the walls of our spaces manifests itself through the Pelle Frau Nest Collection which is consistent with the Impact Less Project that offers sustainable tanning for all leather articles. Pelle Frau Outdoor collection divulges from limiting design to present a range of upholstery that are devoid of impediments. The goal is to commit to the environment with these creations.
