Wide-eyed world travellers often seek quaint places of rest that also look pretty, apt for visual bookmarking and memories. Rosewood London located in the heart of Midtown on High Holborn is one such destination. Once a 1914 Edwardian Belle Epoque building, it was later restored into an elegant lodge.  A team of dedicated craftsmen refurbished its Grade II listed street frontage and dome, and its Pavonazzo marble staircase which rises to seven storeys. Today the place reflects both vintage and contemporary influences and is presented as a manor instead of a hotel.

The 262 guest rooms and 44 suites are referred to as “houses” and patrons enter via a grand carriageway, into the courtyard, giving one a sense of arrival more suited to a private residence. Its interiors designed by US based Tony Chi and Associates include 12 event spaces and a Mirror Room that serves food and tea. While the layout of Holborn Dining Room and Gin Bar stocking the city’s largest collection of this spirit was conceptualised by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, The Terrace with garden seating was transformed by city based landscape artist Luciano Giubbilei. Sense Spa and artistic Scarfes Bar serving Indian dishes too contribute to the unparalleled experience.
