Do you ever feel like you’ve shopped it all? The new Krishna Mehta Concept Store puts an end to merchandise Déjà vu, with an eclectic mix of stationery, home décor, clothing and art – changing as frequently as every week.
The store greets you with displays of handcrafted jewelry by Roma Narsinghani and flowers in pinker hues, arranged by Velvet Ribbon. Wall hangings by Ayesha Singh and light installations by Rooshad Shroff casually stand by Krishna Mehta’s men’s label, and racks of coffee table books by Design Book Studio. You may find yourself wandering towards the in-house café for a quick bite, but don’t forget to check out little tables of stationery by Rubberband and contemporary furniture by ASDS.
Curated by Krishna Mehta for her brand’s 35th anniversary, the pop-up could be a catalogue page out of the designer’s own home. “This concept store is a reflection of how I envision my living room. A space full of openness, design and a quirky spirit!” says the designer.
