One of India’s premiere textiles and hand embroidered furnishing brands Sarita Handa also manufactures bed linen for the Pottery Barn, Macy’s, Ethan Allen and Bloomingdales to name a few. Brand Director Suparna Handa shares some of her experiences at India’s definitive design week.

“We launched our wallpaper line which mimics our textiles. This was highlighted through our Spring Botanical collection, where we layered the collection – right from the wallpaper, headboard on the bed to linens and decorative pillows. Stone inlay furniture like tables and consoles in varied patterns designed by the team were on display. We also showcased ikat, suzani and geometric patterns designed on semi-precious and other Indian stones on furniture,” says Handa. About exhibiting at India Design ID 2016, she says, “It’s a great platform not only to connect with our consumers but also with other designers in the industry too. I am confident that India Design ID will continue to be an Indian and international go-to event for home design and trends.”

About their experience, she mentions, “The consumers really appreciated our karigars busy at work, and it reinforced the hand skill and workmanship behind the brand.” What they loved “I felt that everyone outdid themselves from last year, the ELLE DECOR India and Ogaan teams included!”
