The Chennai-based kids’ label has been designing cute and stylish furnishings and furniture for a little over a decade. From their enthusiastic participation in the recently concluded India Design ID 2016, founder and designer Garima Agarwal tell us about her experience at the design event. “This year we wanted to be super colourful so we showcased the Carnival collection as our main theme. There were carousels, step up stools, hand painted tables, chairs, a ferris wheel storage unit and a cute pink four-poster bed. Besides lots of colours on the walls we had some super fun cushions, bean chairs and other accessories to liven up the space!”

Exhibiting at India Design ID 2016, she says, “Peek-a-Boo Patterns has been a kids’ brand for 11 years and it was only possible to enter the interior design industry through India Design ID. This platform has helped consolidate, evolve and literally re-invent ourselves to match other top-notch brands. Hailing from Chennai, we could establish our presence pan India through networking on buyer-to-buyer and buyer-to-consumer levels.” She continues, “The most frequent and important feedback we receive was the lack of our flagship store or presence in New Delhi. Passersby broke into an instantaneous smile seeing our fun visuals!”

On talking about what they loved, “I loved the talks by Tom Dixon and Mario Bellini. Another highlight was appreciation and tips from design guru Sunil Sethi when he visited our booth. Lastly, I liked the comfort that grew from last year as known faces have now become friends.”
