On June 30, 2017, Kohler launched its first ever Experience Center in the country – a 10,000 sq ft space in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi envisioned by local design firm Studio Lotus. The city’s elite from the design fraternity gathered to celebrate the novel space housing fully functioning displays of the brand’s global product line.
What caught everyone’s attention were the seven distinct powder room suites imagined by eminent names in the industry that showcased the various ways you could style your luxe bathroom.
While CCBA’s Zen Style bathroom by Kohler Bold Design Awards 2016 John Michael Kohler Lifetime Achievement Award winner Christopher Benninger and Ramprasad Akkisetti experimented with Japanese minimalism, Sarbjit Singh of Fabinteriors opted for a blue themed zone called Azure – Splendors of the Seaside Horizon.
In Sole Soul Flight, EDIDA India 2014 bathroom winner Husna Rahaman of Fulcrum portrayed the exploration of one’s inner self with a stark, simplistic palette. Vikram Phadke of Interspace Architects blended old world elegance with new age technology in shades of black and white in Deco Nouveau Classic Timeless.
Memory by Sandeep Khosla and Amaresh Anand of Khosla Associates explores notions of craft and nostalgia through contrasting textures and finishes and a muted palette. Sanjay Puri created Ishatvam with rich, earthy colours. Krupa Zubin and Zubin Zainuddin of ZZ Architects created Sublime Luxury, a suite designed to revitalise the senses in an ambience of warm, understated opulence.
Additionally, special sections of the center are dedicated to showcase Kohler’s Artist Editions range of products and releases by Kallista, a Kohler Co brand of plumbing products.Website: www.kohler.co.inAlso read: Kohler Bold Design Awards: Congratulations to the winners!
