India is going to get its first sculpture park!

The Sculpture Park at Madhavendra Palace will soon be open to public.

Once a strong defence fortress for the city of Jaipur, the Nahargarh Fort will now be transformed into an immersive Sculpture Park.Curated sculptures will be installed across the site, and will include artwork from artists all over the world – from Arman, Huma Bhabha, James Brown, Anita Dube and 20 other creative minds. Saat Saath Foundation, with the support of the Government of Rajasthan, has taken the initiative to add contemporary edge to the popular tourist destination, and introduce art to the public. Integrating the city’s history with 21st century art will only make the virtual museum a must-visit in Jaipur. The sculptures will be unveiled in December, and will become a part of the Madhavendra Palace within the Nahargarh Fort.  When: December 10, 2017
