Eco-conscious firm CP Kukreja Architects makes a noteworthy acquisition

CP Kukreja Architects (CPKA) acquired the India arm of Chicago-based design firm dbHMS. This arm of dbHMS has been split into two – Sustainability and Engineering. The firm, an industry leader in The Innovative Engineering and Green Building Movement in India, has now become the first Indian design firm to acquire an International design firm, in a groundbreaking move for the Indian Architecture sector.

Having a sensible system in India is imperative. Through an agreement, the architecture landscapes in India will be edited as CP Kukreja Architects will look to expand functions and place a larger emphasis on sustainable infrastructure. The firm which has an unwavering rank amongst the top 100 design firms in the world and the top 10 in Asia, will also enhance the dialogue on environment-friendly buildings in India, providing support to the Smart Cities’ Mission.

They started operations in India in 2010 and have been part of many eminent projects at this time. It has been speculated that an overall Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of around $25 billion was received in the Construction Development sector between April 2000 and June 2018, according to the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). In the Indian economy, the Infrastructure sector plays a crucial role. With the appropriate government policies, it can substantially contribute to the country’s overall development.
