    The Pritzker Prize for Architecture 2018 goes to… Prof BV Doshi!

    This year, the highest honour in architecture has been bestowed upon a legend in the field. Professor BV Doshi is now the first Indian architect to have been awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize, a testament to the 90-year-old architect’s lifetime achievements.

    Known for ingenious structures and ideas that are rooted in socio-economic and ecological issues, Prof BV Doshi’s enviable portfolio of more than 100 constructions include the low-income Aranya Housing Community that won him an Aga Khan Award for Architecture, the domed Amdavad ni Gufa that countered the blazing Ahmedabad heat and the serene Indian Institute of Management campus in Ahmedabad.
