Serene Sojourn: Hotel 28 Kothi in Jaipur is an idyllic haven
JUN 29, 2016 | By Abhishek Honawar
The two storeyed property, 28 Kothi, was conceptualised by the late Jaipur jewellery designer Munnu Kasliwal. Since he was a renowned name in the industry, many clients, guests, designers and writers came to visit him and stayed in the city for extended periods. The idea of the hotel stemmed from there. His son Siddharth, who is now the owner of Munnu Gem Palace, and I, have been friends for many years. We thought it would be a great opportunity to create a boutique lodge in the heart of the city – an oasis for the modern traveller, ideal for both short and long stays. The space was planned by French architect Georges Floret, while the interiors and styling were done by Jaipur based Lebanese designer Nur Kaoukji. She blended local creations, antique treasures, modernity and tradition with refreshing elegance. We welcome artists, designers, entrepreneurs, authors, travellers and explorers looking for quiet comfort.
