What you mustn’t miss during Mumbai Gallery Weekend 2020

by Gauri Sood Jan 10, 2020 With just two days left of the much anticipated Mumbai Gallery Weekend (MGW), we recommend a list of events and exhibitions that you absolutely must not miss.

Prinseps
This exhibit by artists from Bengal presents a range of modernist works—from Abanindranath Tagore and Jamini Roy to Bikash Bhattacharjee.

Chatterjee & Lal

Chatterjee & Lal is hosting an exhibition based about Riten Mozumdar based on the research of Ushmita Sahu. We love how inventiveness, variety and deference for historical perspectives and newer style icons characterise Mozumdar’s oeuvre.

TAO Art Gallery
Tao Art Gallery is showcasing exclusive works by six of the greatest Indian modern artists—MF Husain, SH Raza, Krishen Khanna, Ram Kumar, Akbar Padamsee and Bal Chhabda—several of which are from Kalpana Shah’s private collection.

Chemould Prescott Road
If you haven’t already been to this, we suggest you check out how Harsha ‘watches human pursuit’ from an ever-changing evolving position. This concludes on Thursday, February 13, 2020.
