The lights go down…The curtain goes up…And voila: Christian Lacroix Maison collection, for Designers Guild, steals the show with its exuberant, colourful offerings that spell art de vivre.

The Parisian House has worked its magic yet again, skillfully leading us from stage set to real life, with a richly coloured series of beautiful materials suitable for upholstery and curtains. Aptly titled Au Theatre Ce Soir, the line brings the opulent fantasy of the theatre into our own lives by making them the hero in home decor.

The new range brings exotic, fantasy and flora and fauna inspired eclectic prints and embroideries onto digitally printed fabrics, luxurious weaves and voiles. Some of favourites from the range includes fabrics like Frida Santa – a velvet with an oriental flavour, Mascarade – reflecting a Harlequin suit, Noailles – a partway between a French Indienne and a rich damask, Goya – a Jacquard design featuring tropical palm trees, Reveries – a fabric inhabited by fantastic beasts and Tumulte – a material with vibrant, embroidered flowers.
