Sometimes it takes more than a loud gym to fulfil your fitness requirements – both physical and mental. Sum of Us in Prahran, an inner suburb of Melbourne, Australia is a centre that follows a holistic approach and believes in the concept of all-round wellness. Its name reflects the philosophy that many factors combine to enable a balanced lifestyle. This is why it provides patrons with facilities like pilates, yoga, physiotherapy, myotherapy, podiatry as well as an in-house cafe that serves hearty treats and also extends professional dietary advice.

Housed within a magnificent double storeyed Victorian building, the space was envisioned by local interior design studio We Are Huntly in such a way that it maintains a clean contemporary atmosphere while also preserving the old world charm of its heritage facade. “The interiors of the edifice challenged the idea of a traditional workout space, resulting in a homely ambience rather than a clinical one,” explains Kylie Dorotic, director of the design firm. “We chose to use materials such as pale timbers and whitewash finishes to ensure that the space looks fresh, honest and approachable for visitors.”
