All Natural: Go modern with stone and wood

by Tasneem Merchant Sep 14, 2015

Using natural, barely processed materials such as wood, lava stone and kadappa doesn’t necessarily need to equate to an old-school, vintage aura.

Get inspired by this bedroom, part of a Mumbai high-rise condo designed by Varrun Motihar of MOVA1. Contemporise with a low or simple bed with clean lines – options of teak, mahogany or cherry wood like this bed above will be ideal. For depth, perspective and to build your private oasis, have your walls covered with timber blinds or a mesh from floor to ceiling (you’ll need an adept carpenter for this).

Complete the story by accessorising with ombre linens, yellow cane chairs or stone side tables.
